Resources Review attends world’s biggest expo
Over three days in late September, Resources Review Manager Heidi Paracchini joined thousands of others at the world’s biggest mining expo in Las Vegas; MINEXPO.
Hosting Resources Review’s very own floorspace, Heidi had the great opportunity to meet and converse with some of the mining sector’s most prominent leaders from around the world, strengthening her already established network of contacts and creating new relationships.
“It was great to be able to connect and reconnect with global partners through this year’s event, it gave me a chance to converse with my connections face-to-face and explore other avenues for the magazine,” Heidi said.
“I had some great in-depth discussions about the industry itself, what part our magazine plays in information sharing, and what strategies we have in place and can offer our clients.
“There was a great mix of keen and loyal readers that keep the pulse of the industry, as well as current and potential clients that want to grow their business and promote their products or services.”
The event was a display of the latest technology in the sector with trends working to fulfill the sector’s decarbonisation strategies. There were also some surprise launches by operators, staged and performed with that typical Las Vegas flair the desert city is so renowned for.
“The most interesting thing to discover was the very high number of technology and solution providers that aim to tackle a hard-to-abate industry, and the willingness of operators to explore new ways to cut emissions.
“With all the biggest players gathered in the same place, you can get a great sense of the unique position the industry has found itself in, and the exciting growth potential that lays ahead.
“We are excited to be a part of this journey and to keep our readers informed on the latest technologies and market updates, and give our clients a chance to promote the solutions available to resolve the many challenges of the industry.”
