Journalist
Sage Media Group, publisher of Resources Review, Build Australia, Petroleum Australia and Green Review magazines, is seeking a talented journalist to join the company’s editorial team.
The role involves researching and monitoring Australia’s major industries and businesses, building relationships, and delivering compelling content to our audience of industry professionals through our online and print channels.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, communicative, and encouraged to take initiative and work autonomously as well as in a team.
It is essential that the candidate has a strong work ethic and the highest standards of honesty and integrity, as well as organisational and time management skills.
The applicant will be able to work on a part time basis initially, with the potential to progress into a full-time position, from the company’s Western Australian office.
Responsibilities:
– Conduct thorough research and interviews to gather accurate and up-to-date information on industry trends, market analysis, and emerging technologies.
– Write well-researched articles, features, and reports that provide valuable insights and analysis for our audience.
– Collaborate with team members to develop story ideas and ensure content aligns with our editorial standards.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest industry news and developments, attending conferences and events as required.
– Build a strong network of industry contacts and experts to enhance your research and reporting capabilities.
Requirements:
– Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) degree or equivalent.
– Proven experience as a journalist.
– Proficient in WordPress, Adobe Create Suite and Microsoft programs.
– Sound research and interviewing skills.
– Strong writing and storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
– Ability to meet deadlines consistently, work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
